Main Beach

SOLD I never tire of painting this scene,  the rocks look like stingrays. A beautiful golden light pervades the landscape, so beautiful. Coochiemudlo Island just keeps on giving. Thankyou to Peter Weir for the photo.

Three Little Milk Bottles

SOLD
I saw these lovely glass bottles, they so reminded me of my young school days where we were given small bottles of milk each day, of course these bottles aren't real milk bottles but they did remind me of those times. I'm really loving painting glass at the moment, especially at the end when the highlights beg to be placed on the subject, so lovely! I'll keep practicing glass for a while I think. Hope you like the painting.

6in x 8in 15cm x 20cm approx. Oil on wood panel.

Coochie Storm

SOLD It's so exhilarating painting when you're out in the weather, it helps to paint quickly and get the essence  and feel of the landscape.

Valentine's Day

SOLD This image was inspired by Valentine's Day. It sold at the EKKA, Brisbane's annual show event. More in tune with my university days as a way of painting a concept.

Kiss of Nature

At times I will totally relax and forget about technique and allow myself to flow. I listen to my intuition and only reach for materials that are seeking expression. So, if 'something' wants me to use ink, I reach for that, if 'something' wants to use sparkle or if Japanese hand made paper calls to me I'll use that and so on....... I don't question anything. This is a beautiful meditation without any structure at all. It appears to me that the influence of nature and the surrounding sea within me wanted a voice. I love this, I hope you do too.
